Richard M. Brownlee, vice president of operations for CMCS, has been named to the Board of directors of the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC). Richard, who has been attending meetings and conferences in a leadership role with the IACC will serve a two year term helping to contribute to the advancement of the commercial collection industry both in professionalism and effectiveness. CMCS maintains it's active role in this vital association through Richard's participation and involvement. CMCS has participated through it's employees in a number of programs through the IACC such as future planning conferences and advanced tele-seminars dealing with collector in service training. Through the involvement of it's employees, such as Richard, CMCS continues to make it's contribution to the advancement of the industry at large as well as constantly improving the quality of services to our clients both domestic and international.

CMCS has successfully implemented the check by fax system known as CHAX. Recovery time has been greatly reduced by accepting what amounts to electronic transfer of funds from any business or individual with access to a fax machine. This system was initially installed in our Michigan facility for testing over the past 60 days and currently has a zero percent failure rate. The system has now been implemented in all our offices and will represent just one more tool to get money from debtors to our clients as fast as possible.

CMCS is now able to accept major credit cards for all services and amounts due. By accepting VISA, MASTERCARD and DISCOVER we have implemented another payment method to the benefit of our clients. We are constantly implementing new systems to improve the rate and speed of return for our customer base and expect to announce further enhancements in the coming months.

We are pleased to announce that CMCS is now hosting our own web site and we have established password protected access to our entire data base for industry group members and established customers of CMCS. Under the new system group members can update and check group data instantly by Internet access. Regular credit services clientele can also check the status of their accounts, correspond directly on pending accounts and check the entire data base for reference purposes, all on a password protected basis over the Internet.
